I’m a passionate Frontend Web Developer currently living in Charlotte looking to move to Seattle to join the web team at OfferUp. I enjoy working with modern technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, and sticking to best practices for testing and version control.
I love creating responsive, user friendly websites and single page applications with blazing fast page loads that look great in any browser or device. I’m incredibly passionate about learning new things. I am legally able to work in the U.S (sponsorship will never be required). On the server I prefer NodeJS and I’m familiar with Python.
My background is nontraditional — I completed two years towards a technical degree before falling in love with the U.S. during a summer program and deciding to move here permanently. Since then I’ve continued my education independently, most recently completing a full stack JavaScript bootcamp and have been building for the web since 2015, working on solo projects and collaborating with a senior engineer. I’m fluent in English, Ukrainian, Russian and Vietnamese and when I’m not coding I’m probably photographing my travels.
I used OfferUp recently while looking for a car and ran across this job posting while checking out the site in more detail.
